![]() | Taco Casa "Cars & Trucks Show" Garland Texas Hollywood's BAD 69 Takes out the Taco Casa Class Winner for Muscle cars - August 11th, 2009. With the second show outing for BAD 69, I cruised from HPW Headquarter to Taco Casa in Garland Texas in the peak hour traffic and 98 degree weather without an ounce of trouble. The Camaro ran like a dream & cruised like a true Street Muscle Car should. The guys that put on these shows around the Dallas area are just great, every second tuesday of the month they are at it again and always seem to draw some tuff street muscle cars & trucks. Their was somewhere around 100 cars on the night and the weather held off for a great night. Some of the guys from the Wicked Kreations car club wanted to cruise, but been a week night, I thought that I better get the BAD 69 home to bed. |
![]() | Sachse Chamber of Commerce "Cars Under the Stars" Hollywood's BAD 69 Takes out the Sachse Chamber of Commerce Class Winner for 1979 and older Camaro's - July 25th, 2009 With the first outing for BAD 69, we cruised from HPW Headquarter in Garland to Sachse (Texas) in the 106 degree weather without an ounce of heating. The Camaro ran all the way there on 180 degrees & cruised without any bother. The show was great, last year they attracted about 239 cars and this year the talk was over 350 cars. We decided to cruise after the show, so we hit the roads at 11:30pm and rumbled the roads to IHOP in Dallas and back to HPW Headquarters in Garland. |
| HPW future Engine Build for the Bad 69 "BLOWN ALKY BAD 69" ![]() | While we were busy changing the full on nitrous cam, for a more friendly custom ground Comp Cams mechanical roller cam that would accept a small dose of NOS (200hp spray), we decided to set up the next project "BLOWN ALKY BAD 69". We set up the "Billet" Blower shop 6-71 blower kit with a Enderle Bug injector so that we can set it up on ALKY. We called on Rods Car Craft in Wylie Texas for a spare flat hood, so that we could cut it out for the blown alky set up. Rod came through with the goods, an untouched perfect hood. Then a good friend of mine Steve helped out and the hood was cut to shape to clear the blower & injector. Once it was double checked, we sent the hood off to John Klump from Radical Restorations in Royse City Texas. Klump put all the mods to the cut out in the hood & gave it a nice finish before it got the matching Red with white stripes to match the rest of the car. Now that we have a hood that is ready to go, we have reason to not build a tough little street BLOWN ALKY engine for BAD 69. |
