A special thank you to all that helped us out with getting our 2nd Annual Car Show & Charity Auction off the ground. With just two weeks to get it all done, it was an amazing effort for everyone who helped & contributed.
The 2nd Annual Car Show & Charity Auction went off really well. With near perfect 83º weather, it was just what we needed for the perfect day. The car show was a good mix of some classic cars, muscle cars, drags cars & a few hot rods. The car show kicked off at 2:00pm and seemed to sort itself out as the day went along. The hot dog stand went off with a bang; thanks to our local Resident Chef (Johnny Boy Hammond), we raised $103 from the hot dogs, chips & drinks alone.
The auction had the same vibes as the last one, and everyone loved it, responding with great feedback. We ended up raising $2,470 with the parts donated from all of our wonderful suppliers. Ticket sales for the three raffles we drew yielded a net $2,759, after expenses on the day of. Last year, one racer/customer bumped up the donation for the charity to make an even amount, so Stacey & I decided to make up the difference of $241 to get it to an even $3,000, the total amount that we were honored to donate to our chosen charity B.R.A.K.E.S.
